Andrew Ryan O'Connell is here!!

Kendra, Dan, and I are so excited to welcome Andrew Ryan to our family! We can't believe how much fun we are all ready having as The O'Connell clan. Dan and I could have never imagined loving another the way we love Kendra. She will always be our first but we love both Kendra and Drew with every thing we have! He too is a gift from God! Can I get an amen?
Drew was born on June 20, 2006. He weighs 8 pounds 11 ounces and is 20 inches long. We are thinking that he may possibly have brown eyes. Right now they are blue brown so we will see. It is hard to tell. Every thing went crazy fast. Dr. May broke my water at about 9. I was induced at around 10 (he started the meds), took an hour break from the medicine due to my doctor having to perform surgery at noon. As soon as he was back (around 1:15) they put me back on the meds and Drew was here at 2:05pm. I was blessed to have my dad and Dan with me this time. It was so quick as my dad says, "One minute I was checking my messages, the next minute I had a grandson." Literally we were sitting there watching lacrose (there was NOTHING else on TV), Dan was in one chair playing games on his phone, my dad was in another chair checking his messages, and I was laying there. I was so bored that I decided to move myself to one side and take a little nap. When I began to sit up and use those strong stomach muscles of mine :-) something happened. I thought that I was going to die and said something I am not going to repeat but remained calm and tried to adjust myself once again thinking that was the problem. Well in fact what had really happened is Drew had turned and dropped in less than 30 seconds flat and was ready to come out. I told Dan to get my nurse and the look on her face when she checked me said it all...the next thing I remember is Dr. May saying are you ready to push and calling his office to tell them that he would be back in 20 minutes (meaning there was going to be a baby in that time), and then a couple contractions and there was this beautiful boy staring at me. My dad and Dan were kind of shocked by the quickness and literally just stood next to me...let's just say, thank God there wasn't anything required of them :-) So with all that said, Andrew, we love you!
