Yesterday was Kendra's 2nd birthday! We can't believe the time that has gone by these past two years. Kendra woke up yesterday and walked into our room. We told her it was August 6th and she said, "It's my birthday today?" She was so excited! We sang happy birthday to her and she told her brother, "Drew, I am two today." She has learned how to hold two fingers up and does it quite well. Being the smart cookie she is, she said mommy, Bella turns four today too. For those of you that have not met my friend Donielle who I met in Reno at our church there, she has a daughter named Bella. Not only were our girls born the same day but also the same time but just two years a part. Never in my life have I met someone who is more like me and understands me and our daughters are a spitting image of each other. Kendra reminds me of Bella so much at two years old that Dan and I question whether this is Kendra just being Kendra or if she truly remembers how Bella acted and just acts exactly like her. Knowing that a four month old can't remember those types of things, we know it is just because they are that much a like! We go up to Tahoe this weekend and can't wait to see our friends and family! After running to Starbuck's yesterday morning, we took Kendra to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. What a great place to go! It is a mini Sea World with a lot more "tank" type things to look at and lots of "touching" stations that Kendra loved! She loved touching the "rubbery sharks!" Braver than her mommy! After that we went to lunch at a place that is based around the movie "Forest Gump." The rest of her day was spent playing at home and eating dinner. We of course took her to ice cream for her birthday and ate it outside since it was such a beautiful evening! Here are some pictures from our day:
