Today the kids and I went to Kendra's 3 year check. I just love their doctor! I was very nervous today that Kendra would have to have shots. She really did need to make one up but it wasn't necessary today. I just couldn't do it. I know it is Kendra who has to have the shot but I just wasn't prepared. I know this is very naive of me to say, but I truly don't understand why they are necessary. All the research and articles that have come across my "teacher" desk in the last couple of years have been all about the different (negative) things they associate with immunizations. Now this could be true or not true, but it just makes me wonder.
Moving on...the doctor and I had a wonderful conversation! She was very supportive in all that I do for my kids and the way we have decided to parent. She continued to encourage me to embrace my kids and all that they are and to be their number one supporter! I was like preach it sister! I am telling you this doctor and I could take our show on the road...we were just so in sink today with every thing we were talking about...potty training, schooling, discipline, eating, learning, parenting...we all do it differently and one isn't always better than the other, but sometimes it is just nice to hear "good job!"

I totally agree with the shots. I decided to spread Chase's shots out, and definitely pull apart the MMR into its 3 separate strands.
I'm glad the doctor visit went well.
I'm so glad it went well! It is nice to have a doctor who is on the same page as you. Amen! What cute pictures of your kids. The curls are the best!
Hi. I was thinking about your post about parenting, discipline, etc. Pass along all of the good ideas!
