Silent Night

The words to this song bring tears to my eyes every time I sing it. It has always touched me but I have found new meaning in this song in the last couple of years since I have kids of my own. I can only imagine how amazing it must have been for Mary to give birth to our King! What a gift we were all given!

I recently got an e-mail where you fill in your answers to questions (I always do these). It asked...what is the greatest gift you have been given? We are clebrating that gift this Christmas!

My kids and husband are my special gifts that I treasure and mean so much to me! I am so proud of them! Dan works so hard for our family and I appreciate all he does!

Enjoy your Christmas celebrations with family and friends! We feel truly blessed to have such amazing people in our lives!

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11)

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born
Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

I love how you continually demonstrate thankfulness, appreciation and adoration for the gift of your kids and husband. This is such a great example for so many of us complacent wives and moms who forget what a truly amazing blessing we have in our family. It is so easy to get tired and not be as thankful as we should be. Thank you!
