Or as we said last night at church..."He is alive!"
We have had a wonderful but crazy weekend. I won't get into the details of the crazy part but will share with you the wonderful things that we did:
On Friday we went to a wonderful Eggstravaganza put on by our church. The kids enjoyed getting face painting on their hands, bounce houses, games, balloons, egg hunts (which were divided up by age), and the wonderful park where the event was hosted. And to top it off I even got an iced mocha...awesome! We had the Goodmans and Densers with us and we all really enjoyed the day! It really was awesome to see the church reach out to so many families through this amazing event! Every detail was wonderful and totally enjoyed! I don't want to forget that Katie and I took our kids to Islands afterwards too which was also a fun treat.
Saturday daddy had to work so the kids and I enjoyed some time hanging out at home and running errands. We went to church and had dinner at my parents house. My brother is home again for the weekend. It really has been nice to have seen him twice this month. We all really miss him but are assured that Boston is an exciting place for him! We also had "super family movie night" and all 8 of us (including my grandma) watched Happy Feet. The kids thought it was the greatest thing to have family movie night at Grammie and Papa's house.
Today we did an egg hunt at our house when the kids woke up. They loved their Easter baskets. It has been beautiful weather here and we enjoyed another beautiful day today. We had brunch at my parents with my grandma included. My dad took the kids on a walk to look for doggies and rollie pollies. Kendra said the cutest thing to my dad when he put on his sun glasses..."Papa, you look cool." It wasn't necessarily what she said, but how she said it, and how happy my dad was to hear her grand daughter tell him he was cool. The kids had another Easter egg hunt which they absolutely loved at my parents. By this egg hunt, they were totally into it and really got the concept. They had an Easter basket from my aunt and one from my parents. They were very excited and so very thankful for the many things they were given. Kendra got her first big girl necklace from Aunt Cyndi and has loved wearing it all day. Drew hasn't stopped all day and finally just crashed. Our afternoon was spent at our house with my parents. We used the afternoon and got things cleaned up around our house, including some projects getting completed that needed to get done.
We hope that everyone enjoyed their day with family and friends! We sure did! I will post more pictures of our day when I get the rest of my pictures downloaded.
