4 Hours

Last month a new ride at Disneyland opened...Toy Mania, based on the Toy Story movie. The kids were really excited as we saw advertisements for it both on the Disney channel and at Disneyland. We really love having our season passes. The kids enjoy going up there a lot!

We met our friends up there one day and my friend Katie had this brilliant idea of waiting in line for the Toy Mania ride. Did I mention it was opening day of the ride for the public? Well the line wrapped around pretty much all of the park. When we asked a Disney employee how long the wait was they said 4 hours. In my mind I thought that was crazy and Katie and I both rationalized to ourselves that it had to go quicker than that.

My cousins Cydney and Jesse also joined us. When they got there I had them take the kids on a couple of rides and eat lunch while I waited in line. I finally got to the one hour left part of the line. At this point, there was no turning back. I was close and my kids were going to be able to ride the new ride with their cousins and friends...nothing could be better (although yes, I agree, I was nuts).

Well we got our 4D glasses, after the 4 hour wait, and we were on the ride. We were super excited and the kids were in heaven getting to see all the Toy Story characters. At about 45 seconds into the ride, it stops. I just kept thinking, it will start up, but unfortunatly, to make a long story short...they had to get us off the ride and we had to walk out.

The good news is we got some cute pics with glasses on and were able to go back another day to try out the ride without waiting! My kids loved it but still say that Buzz Lightyear is there favorite ride...I agree!

Kendra, Cousin Cydney, Drew, and Cousin Jesse...they love all their cousins!

So excited to go on!

Drew wondering why we aren't going? Although it was a short time...the kids still loved the little they were able to see and it made it that much more exciting when we did get to ride it!

Now that's mommy dedication and sacrifice! ;) I hate to say this, but when I read that the ride broke I thought to myself, "now isn't that just her luck"! ;)

We got on during some sneak peak day on Father's Day. We waited 45 minutes and thought that was rough. HA! I like Buzz Lightyear better too!
