Helicopters

My kids love pointing out helicopters in the sky!

Since we have had A LOT around our house in the past 6 days it has been very exciting (from their point of view)!

Although we all woke up not feeling so red hot this morning (soar throats) I had to get out of the house this afternoon so we went to the store and helicopter watching!

My mom had told me on her way to our house last night that the helicopters were right up the street from us in our reservoir collecting water to take to the fires. Yes the fires are still burning. They have moved away from us and our now in our forest which doesn't make an easy job for fire fighters.

When we got home from the store the kids both pointed out the three helicopters that looked like they were going to land in our neighborhood and I remembered what my mom said, so we jumped in the car and went to take a look...

It was absolutely amazing to see them at work. There were 3 working non stop...collecting then dumping then doing it over and over again. We watched for about 4 rotations. I couldn't help as we waved but to shout thank you!
