There are times here and there that I just load the kids and I in the car and take a drive. Sometimes this is to go look at the lake right by our house, sometimes this is to go look at others frontyard decor in local neighborhoods to get ideas on new plants/flowers, sometimes it is to just run through the local drive through to get a diet coke, and today it was to get my kids to fall asleep. It was way past the point of them needing to go to sleep for a little rest and I tried a couple times to get them to lay down with me...no luck. So we went to go get lemonade in the drive through and before I was even to the drive through they were both asleep. I am now going to enjoy the quite and take some time to read!

Nice! Carter ALWAYS falls asleep in the car. Much like his mommy, the car just lulls him right to sleep. Ryan jokes that whenever he's driving, I'll be asleep on the passenger side within 20 minutes. Crack up!
I'm sure it was a pleasant surprise to look back and see both kids asleep! Drives can be so relaxing for many reasons. Andrew and I go on drives many time during the week so he can fall asleep. We even have a route we take.
