Exciting Mondays

I never knew how exciting the trash truck could be! I remember how much my brother loved to sit in my parents bay window and watch it but I don't remember the screaming and dumping noises that my son and daughter both make every Monday :-) What is so exciting about the trash truck in 2008 is that there are 3 of them in one day! The recycle truck, the green waste truck, and the actual trash collecting truck. That means 3 trucks in one day! That means screaming and dumping noises at least 3 times in one day :-) We happen to be scheduled at 3 different times on Monday. One early early in the morning, one right about after nap time and one later in the afternoon. If they aren't awake come Monday morning by the time the first one comes, I can hear them running down the hall to tell me "the trash truck is here, the trash truck is here" at the top of their lungs and we quickly look out the windows to see the dumping action! If Drew is taking a nap and isn't awake by the time the second one comes I will hear the same thing again as he races down stairs and we all go to the window to look. By the time the third one has come we are usually outside and get a real first hand look at him not only taking our trash but our neighbors trash. The actual trash truck has the same driver every week and he stops to say hi to the kids and wave...very exciting! There are even some Mondays where we will get in the wagon and take a walk and follow the trash truck...it is all about the dumping! Hope you all are enjoying your Monday!
