Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter this year as we celebrated the amazing resurrection of our savior! I can't say enough wonderful things about our church. First of all, it is like home to us. All 4 of us, just LOVE our church and are so thankful for the amazing staff and volunteers that make it what it is! This Easter they had an actual market place and live animals. It was like a scene right from Jerusalem. The kids loved it and were amazed to see the tomb door had been rolled away and Jesus was not there, but his cloth they wrapped him in lay there empty. They both shouted, "He is alive." It is these little things that our church does to help bring the bible to life for everyone. We also brought flowers from home to add to the cross to remind us of the amazing love God showed us through his son. The kids loved placing their flower on the cross.
A typical morning heading to church...Drew entertaining us :-)
My animal loving kids feeding all the animals. Maybe it is just all kids, but mine love animals. Doesn't help that you have a dad that was raised with dogs his whole life who loves animals and a mom who was raised with dogs and horses.

This was so funny, but the camel was totally talking to Kendra. She of course pet the camel and was talking right back to it.

Drew petting the camel with daddy

In their play room with their Easter buckets. Unfortunately both of their Easter baskets were crushed so this year we went with buckets! I made them a scavenger hunt to find their buckets this year and they loved it!

After we went to see the new Hannah Montana movie as a family (a new family favorite by the way), we went to my parent's house for dinner. The kids love my parents house, especially taking walks on their trail. It was so fun for the 6 of us to take a walk together.

The race is on for the egg hunt! My mom and I realized that they are getting better at finding the eggs we hide, so next year, we are stepping it up and making it a little harder! My parents have such a great egg hunting yard!

Grammie and Kendra playing with her new toys.

Drew playing soccer with Papa...he HAD to wear Uncle Ou's baseball helmet!

He loved it so much, he even wore it to dinner...and of course he had to sit next to his favorite person, Papa.

An awesome church indeed! You all are so cute! And I am totally jealous that you can pop over to your parents house. I wish I could do that with Aidric! Love to you all!
